Women’s Wine & Dine Wisdom™ May 2006
Not sure you like pink wine? Drink again.
Rosé wines, ubiquitous with good reason in hot, dry climates like the South of France and Spain; provide super sipping anytime a wine needs to be refreshing as well as delicious.
Forget syrupy pinks of the past, nowadays there’s a wide selection of great pink pours (domestic and imported) available that are perfect for when you don’t necessarily want white and would prefer something lighter than red.
Pink wines (dry ones especially) are great choices for entertaining as they tend to please red and white wine drinkers and they also pair well with an astonishing variety of foods. Look for suggestions of great drinks that are pink in M's article this month’s Taste of the Bay magazine. If you're a member, look for a bunch of suggestions in our complimentary monthly "Wise Wine" Shopping List (tm) in our "member only" part of the site. If you are a member, no time like the present to create your log on and password info. Click here to do so.
MAY'S WEB TO WATCH - Gourmetspot.com
I happened upon a cool foodie web site doing research for an article I was working on. It has all kinds of epicurean related info, recipes, and tid bits that will interest the food and wine lover from the novice to the expert. Of particular interest was the part of the site that seeks to take the guesswork out of pairing food and wine. Check it out Gourmetspot.com.
