September 2006’s Wine Tip of The Month

Replacing equal parts water with red wine or Port when making chocolate cakes can add an exciting and tasty dimension. Pair the finished dessert with a glass of the same wine and voila - you are a food and wine pairing genius! Red wine and chocolate are a decadent and classic combination. If using red wines stick with deep, rich, fruity and full bodied reds like ripe Cabernets or even Red Zinfandels.
